SCAR CAMOUFLAGE
Scars always have a story to tell, but sometimes they're not our favorite to share. I'm here to help you boost your confidence by camouflaging any scars that have been left behind from surgeries, accidents, self harm, acne, or any other reason - no questions asked!
This process typically takes 2 - 4 sessions, but really just depends on how your body responds and heals. We will always book a follow-up session for 8 weeks from the original service so that we can see how you healed and determine the next step.
THE FIRST STEP
Typically, as your scars heal, you are left behind with some level of hyperpigmentation - resulting in brown, red, or pink shading around the healed scar. This can draw attention to the area and make it stand out much more. Our first step is to assess the level of hyperpigmentation, your skin type / color, and the texture of the scar. We will then use a specialized serum & technique to remove as much of the color as we can. Once that has healed, some clients are happy with the results and will choose to end the process there while other are eager to see if they are a candidate for pigment camouflage!
SPECIALIZED CASES:
VITILIGO
Hyperpigmentation is not typically a factor when it comes to vitiligo, so we go directly to pigment camouflage for the affected areas! Depending on the severity of the impacted area, we may do a test patch before camouflaging everything, but that is a case by case decision.
AREOLA LIGHTENING
This service uses a combination of pigments to lighten your areola to your desired shade. Typically 3-4 sessions are needed to complete the process.
ACNE SCARRING
Using a combination of skin needling and microneedling, we are able to stimulate collagen production in even the deepest of acne scars. The scars must be completely healed and there cannot be any active breakouts in the area. This procedure typically takes 4-6 sessions, but sometimes more, depending on the severity of the scarring.
PIGMENT CAMOUFLAGE
Using an extensive color matching process, we will determine together which shade is the best choice for the area and your skin type. I will then color match the scar to the surrounding area, creating the most seamless camouflage that we can!
